The crisis has managed to hit all of us in a way, and leave us hanging with a halved income. Besides the obvious problems that this situation causes, we are also limited in the ability to pay the credits we made before the financial troubles started in the world. Of course, we can use the excuse that we had no way of telling that such times would come, but even so, the payments will not go away and the creditors will need your money any way. The way we see this issue is definitely the opposite that see it, but they will surely help us with the payments because sending you to jail will not help their accounts grow. So, be confident and talk to the creditor when you see fit. The creditor will help you pay your debts and will offer an extension.
This is how fixing your credit works. You know you can't pay for the credit anymore and the creditor is aware of this problem as well. The only thing you need to do is not to avoid the problem and go talk to the bank or wherever you have the credit at. Keep in mind that in the last 18 months 90 percent of people that asked for extensions got them and almost 70 percent of those that negotiated the offered extension got what they wanted. They told the bank that they can pay a certain amount each month and after some deliberation, the bank agreed on the payment the client suggested. Keep in mind that you will still need to be kind and cooperative, but a little aggression will work as well. You need to let the bank know that you can only pay a limited amount each month and that they need to work with that because you simply can't pay more. As mentioned earlier, they are interested in getting their money back, so they will accept those payments.
There are options as well. For example, if you are able to fully pay for the credit you can make a new one, but significantly smaller in order to maintain or increase your credit score.
In any case, you need to communicate with your creditor and explain how you would like to pay the credit. I'm sure that to fix your credit, the creditor will work with you and look for a solution that fits you both.
